Kia ora and Welcome
Tena koutou katoa Nau mai, haere mai ki Te Kura Tuatahi o Paeroa. It is a great pleasure to write this as we embark on another exciting school year. I am filled with a sense of anticipation and enthusiasm for our journey that lies ahead. Our school's vision, "Ko te ako, ko te tupu ake - Together we learn, together we grow," encapsulates the kōrero of our shared commitment to education and growth. It reflects the belief that learning is a collaborative and ongoing process, not confined to the classroom nor school but extending into all aspects of our lives. In embracing this vision, we recognize the importance of unity and collaboration. "Ko te ako" speaks to the heart of our educational journey. Learning is not just about absorbing information; it is about the relationships we build, the challenges we overcome, and the discoveries we make together. Every student, teacher, staff member, parent and whanau plays a crucial role in this collective journey of learning. Furthermore, "ko te tupu ake" emphasizes growth and development. It signifies that education is not static but a dynamic process that involves nurturing the potential within each individual. As a community, we are dedicated to providing an environment that fosters intellectual, emotional, and social growth. We aim to equip our students with the skills and values needed to thrive in te Ao Māori and the ever-changing world. Together, we create a supportive and inclusive community where everyone feels valued and respected. Our vision inspires us to collaborate, share ideas, and celebrate each other's successes. It encourages a mindset of continuous improvement and resilience, where challenges become opportunities for growth. This vision is not just a statement; it is a commitment we make to our students and our community. It guides our decisions, shapes our actions, and reminds us of the collective responsibility we share in shaping the future. As we embark on this new school year, let us embrace the spirit of "Ko te ako, ko te tupu ake."
It’s meaning that learning and growth within te Kaupapa Kura o Paeroa is a collective process. That those who learn and teach together will also manaaki and awhi each other, as if we are all whanau, as one. ‘Hauraki Kōwhao Rau’
